Sam Ostrow

Sam Ostrow is an Associate Attorney at the Tallahassee office of Allen Norton & Blue. He devotes his practice to various aspects of labor and employment law. His practice includes representing public and private sector employers across the spectrum of labor and employment law.

Prior to joining Allen Norton & Blue, Sam served as an attorney drafter with the Florida House Bill Drafting Service. There he assisted with drafting legislation for representatives on various topics related to transportation and veterans’ affairs. He also previously served as an in-house counsel for employment law for the Florida Department of Transportation, assisting with employee discipline matters, representation before the Public Employees Relations Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and with Chapter 112 and 119 matters. He was also a Senior Attorney with the Florida Commission on Human Relations, assisting with adjudicating over 1,000 administrative cases on employment discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower disputes.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 2021, and received both his Masters in Public Administration and Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Alabama in 2018.

While in law school, Sam served on the Career Service Advisory Board and was a teaching assistant for the Juris Master program, assisting with teaching Legislation & Regulation. He received top marks for both Civil Procedure and Legislation & Regulation. He gained valuable experience working as an intern for the Florida Commission on Human Relations during his second year of law school and received top marks for his achievement while working there.

Outside the office, Sam enjoys playing soccer, board games, and visiting as many state parks as he can.
