Robert L. Norton is the firm’s Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. He has represented employers in labor and employment law matters since 1970.

He represents employers in all types of state and federal court litigation, including claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-hour, breach of contract, and whistleblower cases. Mr. Norton also represents private and public-sector employers in labor law issues brought before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC). He also has extensive experience representing employers before the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and other state and federal agencies.

Mr. Norton focuses a significant portion of his practice on traditional labor law matters and advice, including representing and advising employers on matters involving development of and participation in employer-side collective bargaining, attempted union organizing activities, and handling grievance/arbitration cases. Additionally, Mr. Norton provides his clients with advice on strikes and strike preparation.
