Michael MacNamara

Michael is an experienced trial attorney who practices in all areas of labor and employment law on behalf of public and private employers. He defends employers in contested matters before the Public Employees Relations Commission, the Florida Commission on Human Relations, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and in state and federal courts. His litigation practice includes cases under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Florida Civil Rights Act (Chapter 760, F.S.), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Florida Whistle-blower’s Act, and others. In his labor practice, Michael assists employers and management in dealings with unions, to include collective bargaining negotiations, impasse proceedings, arbitrations, and defending against charges of unfair labor practices.

Michael has tried over 70 jury trials to a final verdict and has argued before the Florida Supreme Court.

In law school, Michael was an elected member of the Student Bar Association, an Honor Court Prosecutor, and a member of the Trial Team. He lives in Tallahassee with his wife, their dog, and their chickens.
